VW Crafter

This VW Crafter van conversion was the flagship of my first few camper projects. The medium wheel base Crafter, which shares its chassis type with the Mercedes Sprinter, was fitted with a complete specification of motorhome appliances to make an off-grid home on wheels fit for all seasons.

Features included gas/mains powered air heating and hot water, a shower and toilet cubicle with piped hot air for drying wet clothes, a garage that held a bike locked in position during transit, a gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, 70 litres of fresh water and a solid wooden interior with a few home comforts.
